FAQS Is Teeth-Whitening safe? All products used at Lilly Cosmetic Clinic are safe and are also effective.
Is Teeth Whitening safe for pregnant or lactating women? Unfortunately, there is lacking evidence to prove that it is safe, therefore, we urge on the side of caution and say no. This is because we would not like to put mum or baby in any danger.
Does the treatment cause any sensitivity? Some clients may experience some mild sensitivity, mainly if they have a history of sensitive teeth. Any sensitivity caused will usually settle within 24 - 48 hours.
Would I experience any pain during the treatment? No pain is caused from cosmetic teeth whitening treatments.
How long will the results last? Results from cosmetic teeth whitening can last 3 to 12 months. The longevity of the results will depend on lifestyle and food choices. If you are able to refrain from smoking, eating staining foods (curries, coffee, red wine, etc.), and clean your teeth twice daily, then you will likely have a longer lasting result.
How long does the treatment take? Treatment time takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Should I see the dentist before having my teeth whitened? If you'd like to see a dentist before having your teeth whitened, you can, however, it is not necessary. We recommend you leave a gap of two weeks from any dental work before booking your teeth whitening treatment to avoid sensitivity.
Can you have your teeth whitened if you are under 16 years old? Unfortunately not. Young teeth and gums may be too sensitive for cosmetic teeth whitening.
