What is Fat Cavitation?
Fat Cavitation uses low frequency ultrasound directly to the targeted area of fat cells. The cells are subject to a strong wave of pressure, in which they cannot withstand, and in turn breaks down the cell membrane and disintegrates. The broken down cells are then eliminated via lymphatic and urinary systems.
What happens during this treatment, and is it painful?
This non-surgical, non-invasive technique to target unwanted fat cells does not require anaesthesia, and is painless and mostly comfortable. Some clients even enjoy the warm sensation during treatment and can find it quite relaxing. A slight "buzzing"or "ticking" sound of sensation may be felt or heard from the ultrasonic waves during treatment, however it is not painful.
Is Fat Cavitation safe?
Even though the studies have proven the treatment safe, we do not use it on clients with cardiac and vascular diseases, pacemaker, anyone with metal implants, cancer, immune problems, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Abdomen treatment during menstruation should be avoided. Always consult a doctor if you are unsure if this treatment is suitable for you. A doctor’s certificate may be required for certain individuals. There are no special contraindications.
What can I expect post treatment?
Though it is rare, there is a slight possibility of mild side effects such as transient redness, excessive thirst, and nausea immediately after the treatment which always resolves by drinking water. They are all short-term effects that disappear in few hours to few days. We recommend that you drink at least 1.5 liters of water before and after the session. Drinking water is a necessary part in order to eliminate the fat. It is also recommended to perform a minimum of 20 minutes of elevated heart rate cardio exercise (or brisk walk) after treatment (within the same day). Exercise is important to ensure elimination of the fat continues through the Lymphatic System for 72 hours. There is no downtime and you can immediately resume your daily activities.
What can I do to prepare for this treatment?
To ensure your body responds well to Ultrasound Cavitation drink you are required to drink at least 2 litres of water over a 24 hour period prior to the treatment. It is essential to stagger water consumption over this period to ensure your body is well hydrated.
How many treatments will I need?
On average, most clients require 4 – 10 treatments, 1 - 2 times per week to achieve best possible results. Depending on your individual situation (which we will assess during your consultation), you may need anywhere between 6 and 12 treatments for optimum results. You’ll start to feel the effects after the very first treatment and by the third treatment you should begin to see real improvements take place. Treatments are spaced between 1 to 2 times per week to allow your body to flush out the fat released during the process of cavitation.
Am I a good Candidate?
